I'm sitting here wondering what on earth made me think this was a trilogy...I've just finished this third installment only to find there is yet ONE MORE installment to come. Gads...I'm wondering when this book will reach its end. Will it ever end?? How much longer will this wait go on for each installment to be published? And yet I sit here like a putz...chomping at the bit waiting. Ms. Chase, you've got us right where you want us. Addicted. And shame on me for biting. Three times!Ah Issy....no matter the prior arrangement or agreement to stay with Lucas (on a trial basis for one month and then go their separate ways)...no matter how much she tries not to want him, the fact is Issy is falling for Lucas. Yet she is still constantly trying to put distance between herself and Lucas. Still, it's not long before she just gives up because she begins to feel such a strong and powerful connection to Lucas. She begins to feel at home with him. Being with Lucas feels so right to her and she cannot imagine moving on. She cannot imagine being with anyone else. She knows him so well.
For all those reasons, I found it out of character for Issy to abandon Lucas in the end. I found it odd that Issy...this intelligent and strong woman... would believe what a total stranger - - (a sinister looking stranger at that).. would spew about Lucas. A man she has gotten to know and understand so well...and she believed this stranger over Lucas?? That's simply completely out of character for Issy. Just like it's out of character for Angel to believe a picture of her boyfriend (Chad) and Issy in bed together when Angel and Issy are life long friends who are more like sisters than friends. And Angel doubts both Issy and her boyfriends' word?? I don't think so... But hey, it makes for good entertainment.
This story has so much potential...all three installments are told in first person from Issy's POV. This third installment basically is all about Issy and Lucas working through their trial arrangement and a few personal issues, while the boys band (Chad, Travis, Ethan and Scott) gets off its feet with the financial and promotional help of Lucas. It's about all the ups and downs of a new relationship...learning to trust etc. The story floats happily along, with the day in and day out issues that life deals a working girl falling in love, without any big major upset... until the final two chapters. Then we have a bit of drama leading us into the fourth installment.
And so we wait...

I love this series. This book was the best so far. I was so upset at the end of this one to have to wait for the next one to come out. Lucas and Issy are great, the story line is fantastic. Lots of passion, hot, hot sex. Don't miss out on reading this book.
I have read all 3 books. This review is on book 3 only. I love the story, I love the characters, and how they all interacted with each other. For the most part the story was believable. There were some grammar mistakes. What I did not like, was the BDSM, which was mild. Was worth every penny I paid, and I can't wait until the book 4 comes out which is in March of 2013
I really enjoyed this book, the series so far has been very enjoyable... but seriously, she disappointed me at the end of this book, you knew something was going to happen to leave it with a cliffhanger.( if you don't want to know how it ends, STOP reading now.) I thought that maybe she would listen to what Lucas had to say, maybe remember there was someone out there that was trying to hurt him, someone that had lied about her sleeping with Chad. I don't know, maybe something more.
Apart from that, great book.
I've read all three books. This was the best one so far. I loved how the characters of Lucas and Issy evolve, sort of like Gideon and Eva from the Sylvia Day series. The scenes in this book are much more vivid and detailed especially in the bedroom/playroom.
During the scene where Issy and Lucas are in the bedroom and Lucas plays Muse's Supermassive Black Hole on his ipod? I reread that scene listening to the song. OMG even my thighs clenched it was so erotic! I'll never listen to that song without thinking about this scene.
The cliffhanger is a mind blower, truly unexpected. Book 4 can't come soon enough.
This was worth the wait for the third installment to this series! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!!! Issy made me mad in the end because she never gave Lucas a chance to explain nor did she even try. She just believed what someone told her and ran, just like her roommate did to her! Poor Lucas, you could tell that he had been holding back guilt and pain, but she did not care! I am hoping it will all come together In the next book and the secrets will be revealed. I cannot wait for the next book!!! I highly recommend this series!!
I have read all three and found it very different from other story lines. Love Luke. Cannot believe what she did to Luke but I am not surprised. She seems to have some major issues of her own. Her best friend is also something else. Loved how she brought out more pieces of their lives and their own characters. But where is the last book, states March release and it is now April? I have to say I would love to have a great read like this in one whole book. I get tired of having to keep track of next issues etc. Hot read with interesting story line. Recommend this to other readers who like spice, deep emotions and interesting characters. Forget miss spelled words, it happens, doesn't take away from the story. Happy reading.
What can I say, jd chase did it again with this story. Keeping up with all the different turns of events. The more in depth detail to all their lives and how's entiwned they all are. I have to say angel got on my last nerve, but bff's sometimes do..lol. and what a cliff hanger! Wow!! Can't wait to see how this ends. I felt so sorry for lucas when izzy just leaves him sobbing the poor guy! I really hope it turns out not to be the worst of a outcome. I got a feeling it can't be, lucas is just to great to be such a deep dark villian. I have loved every minute of this story. And very glad I lucked out running across it. And BTW the sex in this book and the twist of mild BDSM, was fantasic! Too bad izzy caved before they made it tothe club,, would had loved to see how that played out.
